EGMT has held its school round of the 2022/2023 Olympiada in English Language. Seventeen students from Years 2-4 took the written test on November 23rd, with the three top-ranked students progressing to a speaking test the following day.
Students at our school take part at 2C1 level, designed for bilingual schools. As such, the test is very challenging, especially for younger students, since there is no division by age. Students are tested in grammar, vocabulary and listening and reading comprehension.
Only one student can win and progress to the regional round, which will be held in Čadca in February. Hopefully, the others still found the competition a useful experience and will want to try again next year. Appreciation to all of them for their efforts.
