EGMT hosted the fifth edition of Martin Model United Nations (MarMUN) during the weekend of 13th-15th February.
Due to late cancellations, mostly caused by illness, we were only able to run two committees, the Future Security Council and Human Rights Council. However, the event was still a great success, providing excellent opportunities both for our students and visiting delegates from other parts of Slovakia.
Thanks are due to all our organisers, mainly Adam Samuel Marko and Rastislav Hvizdak (for the UN-related aspects) and Magdalena Pastierikova, Lukas Merka and Nela Spisakova, who ensured the conference ran smoothly.
I am also great to see many 1st and 2nd year students involved, whether as delegates on the commissions or as volunteers. Finally, special thanks to colleagues Ms Gombarska and Mr Trubac, who gave up a lot of their free time to ensure MarMUN could go ahead.
